Han Sen couldn't care less, though. He ran into the valley, and with the speed of his rabbit shoes, he was able to reach the tree.
Han Sen leaped up to the top of the tree and used his dongxuan aura to check it out. The tree hole was huge, and most of the tree was hollow.
Han Sen couldn't sense any lifeforce there, and he couldn't find any treasure, either.
But Han Sen didn't want to give up so easily. If the rat gave the Stone Cow a pebble every day, there had to be more.
Han Sen pulled out his Ghost Teeth Knife and slashed at the tree hole. He made it big enough for him to fit through, and then he poked his head in to take a look.
The hollow part of the tree was bigger than he had expected. It went all the way to the ground, and it led to a cave.
Without hesitation, Han Sen entered the tree hole. He climbed down the tree hole and reached the cave below.
He carefully climbed the cave. The cave was winding, and after a while, it opened up. Han Sen realized it was a natural cave, and it was no smaller than a dugout.
Han Sen jumped into the cave and looked around. He didn't see any other creatures, but he did find the rat's presence.
The darkness didn't affect Han Sen, though. Han Sen used his Dongxuan Aura to scan the cave.
The cave looked normal, and there was nothing out of the ordinary. There was only one way in, and there was no other exit.
In the center of the cave, there was a small pond. Above the pond was a large stalactite. Drops of liquid slowly dripped down the stalactite into the small pond.
Han Sen looked into the pool, and he saw the pebbles the rat gave the Stone Cow every day. They were the size of fingernails, and they were grey. They were sinking to the bottom of the pool.
Han Sen estimated that there were at least a hundred of them. But because of the water, he couldn't feel anything special about them.
Han Sen asked Spell to transform into a girl. She tried to pick up the pebbles in the pool.
Nothing dangerous happened, though. Spell reached her hand through the water and grabbed a handful of pebbles.
"Xenogeneic gene found." A voice sounded in Han Sen's head.
"Huh? These pebbles are xenogeneic genes?"
Han Sen picked one up. It was cold, and it felt like a Yuhua Stone.
Because there was no notification, Han Sen didn't know what xenogeneic gene the pebbles were. He didn't care, though, and he put all the pebbles in his pocket.
There were a hundred and twenty-eight pebbles, and Han Sen took all of them.
Before he left, Han Sen searched the pool again. He noticed that there was something strange about one of the pebbles.
Han Sen reached out his hand to touch it. When he pulled the moss away, he found that it was a statue that was one foot tall.
The statue was black and green, and it was impossible to tell its original color. It was just a statue of a man sitting cross-legged.
Han Sen wasn't in the mood to examine it, though. He searched the pool a few more times to make sure there was nothing else. Then, he climbed out the way he had come.
When Han Sen emerged from the tree hole, the Stone Cow was already waiting outside. It looked at Han Sen angrily.
Behind the Stone Cow, the rest of the Stone Cows were there as well.
Han Sen knew he had been down there for too long, and they had returned.
Pang!
The Stone Cow angrily stomped its hooves on the ground. Two petrifying shockwaves blasted out, heading straight for Han Sen.
Han Sen ran out of the tree hole. If he was petrified, he'd be in danger.
But even if he ran out of the tree hole, he couldn't escape the petrifying shockwaves. He was petrified by the Stone Cow.
The rest of the Stone Cows weren't affected by the petrification. They gathered up power and turned into giant rocks that came hurtling towards Han Sen.
After Han Sen was petrified, a pair of Xuan Jade Wings appeared in his ears. The wings flapped, and Han Sen flew out of the gourd-shaped valley.
The Stone Cow was furious, and it chased after Han Sen relentlessly.
It couldn't fly. Its body was strong, but it had a weakness. It was a top-class Marquise xenogeneic, and yet it couldn't fly.
But even if it could fly, it was still too slow. Compared to the Xuanyuan Dragon Wings, it was too slow.
Han Sen turned Spell into a sniper rifle. He fired at the Stone Cows that were chasing him, and one of them was hit by the turtle spell. It slowed them down.
Han Sen didn't attack the Stone Cow, though. He focused on the Stone Cows that were following it. Soon, the rest of the Stone Cows had slowed down, and he was able to shake them off.
Perhaps the Stone Cow had smelled the pebbles on Han Sen, but it was still chasing after Han Sen. It wasn't going to turn back.
Han Sen slowly lured the Stone Cow away from the rest of the Stone Cows. He wanted it to run away from the rest of the herd.
With the protection of the Stone Cows, Han Sen couldn't kill it. But if it was alone, Han Sen was confident he could kill it.
After all, the Stone Cow was strong, but it had a natural flaw.
The xenogeneics they encountered along the way ran away in fear when they heard the Stone Cow. No xenogeneics dared to stop them.
Han Sen ran for a hundred miles, but the Stone Cow was still chasing him like crazy. It looked as if it wanted to kill Han Sen's father and steal his wife.
But the Stone Cow seemed to realize that the rest of the Stone Cows were gone. It didn't know if it should continue chasing after Han Sen, so it slowed down.
Han Sen pulled out a handful of pebbles and shook them. The Stone Cow squealed and chased after him again.
"What kind of xenogeneic gene are these pebbles? Why is the Stone Cow so interested in them?"
Han Sen was shocked. He had planned to kill the Stone Cow here if he couldn't lure it, but it didn't seem necessary now.
The Stone Cow chased after Han Sen for three hundred miles. Han Sen was sure the rest of the Stone Cows had been shaken off, and they wouldn't be able to catch up. So, he fired a shot at the Stone Cow, slowing it down.
"You've been chasing me for a long time. It's time we settle the score." Han Sen stopped running. He raised his sniper rifle and fired at the Stone Cow.
The Stone Cow's body was strong, but it wasn't very fast. Its power was strange, too. The petrifying shockwave couldn't stop the bullets from hitting it.
Not long after, the Stone Cow was in the same predicament it had been in before. It was running slower than a turtle.
Han Sen did not say a word. He drew his knife and swung it towards the Stone Cow with a frightening sword-power.
